Kickin' it with a couple of beers. Wife's asleep, it's late, and I'm winding down another week. No jobs tomorrow! Might as well post something!
So Halloween has come and gone! It kicks off my busiest season, October through New Year's Eve.
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, my adult events client hired me to help out with an adult-themed Halloween part that she was catering.
I haven't really gone into this aspect of my catering/cooking business, but it's pretty lucrative. She caters to the rather rich folks in my area (and there are pah-lenty--sadly, I ain't one of them!).
This whole get-up took a few days to get together. LOL
I had to hit the tanning booth a bit, find a French maid costume that fit from the wardrobe room (yeah, she has a wardrobe room), find a wig, etc.... But in the end, I think it all came out nicely.
So I showed up to start cooking and all that around 11 and was in the kitchen until six with the other cooks. The party started at 7 and soon the other cooks headed out except me. With the caterers I work with, you have the option of sticking to food prep or just working as a server, bartender, etc.
No matter the caterer I'm working for on any particular night, I like to do both. It results in long days, but that's okay. In this business, it can be feast or famine. So I like to rake in the money when I can.
And this adult party business I contract with, it's not really a caterer as it is a party event business. But regardless, I REALLY love being part of the serving staff. The tips are outrageous, the pay is great, and it's fun.

Again, I'm going to have to do a post on this aspect of my work.
So after cooking and prepping for several hours, I joined the serving staff and changed into this getup. LOL I took a shot so my wife--LOVE saying that!--could see it!
Might have another post or two before Thanksgiving. Needless to say, the day immediately leading up to that day are INSANE! No parties really-adult or otherwise--just making meals for people.
Allllllllllll…..kitchen work, basically. LOL Jeans and t-shirt, no makeup!
Then, of course, the rest of the year is fairly busy, and the ULTIMATE party night, New Year's Eve.
And that'll be an adult party night, like cah-razy! Don't know what I'll wear!
